Past Present Future1989The beginning of Elektroncek Group of Companies extends back to the year 1989 with the establishment of the company Elektroncek, which commenced its business activities with development and production of security systems. Later it redirected its activities into information technology which has since proven to be an important strategic change. 1990-1996The years 1990 through to 1995 saw considerable growth in revenue with over 4,000 Point of Sale systems sold. In 1996 this business was turned over to a newly established company called POS Elektroncek, which still has a reputation as market leader in the supply of POS systems for the catering sector. 1997-1999In 1997 we combined extensive experience from our previous computer business, together with pro-active thinking and a professional work approach and re-positioned our activities into the gaming industry. The result was a breakthrough product: fully automated electronic roulette named Princess. It was first introduced to gaming industry in January 1998 at London Casino Exposition and received a great response. In 1999 the company extended first generation of multiplayer gaming machines with Megastar roulette, dice and video. Also in 1999 an associated company Interblock Europe was founded, which was a first step toward global brand and sales network. In that year the company already exported over 80% of its production and Interblock multiplayer gaming machines set new standards in the industry. 2000-2006This was a period of further development of multiplayer products and extensive work to place Interblock ahead of its global competitors. A lot of efforts were aimed at the investigation of the requirements of foreign markets as well as studying laws and regulations controlling the gaming industry worldwide. In the year 2000 the electronic roulette named Queen and Supernova were launched into the gaming market. One year later touch screens were installed in all new electromechanical gaming machines and in 2002 new model called Stardust was launched. In 2003 our third generation of products which implemented Swarovski elements successfully entered the global gaming market. Sales network was further developed with establishment of Interblock USA, Interblock Canada and Interblock Asia-Pacific subsidiaries. Company also started to market all of its gaming products under Interblock® trademark. 2007-2008A true achievement in development was Elektroncek’s 4th generation of gaming devices sub-branded “G4 Organic” launched in 2008. The new generation stood out with its technical sophistication and ergonomic design and included G4 Organic Card Blackjack – the first electromechanical gaming device enabling genuine game experience with real cards. There was no comparable machine on the market, with competitors limited to machines with video animated cards. Interblock’s innovation filled a niche, and announced a new path for development of multiplayer gaming machines – electromechanical solutions for traditional live games. Elektroncek was also recognized as the best fastest growing company in Slovenia for the year 2007 amongst six regional finalists, selected from 500 companies competing for the golden award, Elektroncek won national ‘Golden Gazelle 2007’. Also in 2007 addition, the media and research project Zlata nit (Golden Thread) awarded the company Elektroncek a special award for its human resource policy and placed it among the 21 top Slovene employers in its size. Elektroncek devoted a lot of attention to HRM and this project and was then present each year from 2007. In December 2008 Elektroncek and Interblock USA were granted non restricted gaming licenses for the state of Nevada, USA. 2009-PresentInterblock unveiled its latest additions to the Organic product family. Organic has since become the most advanced multi-player platform on the market, offering unparalleled flexibility with multi-language support, multi-game capability and player selectable denominations. The platform also offers easily customizable cabinets along with large touch sensitive displays. The latest innovations from Interblock are Organic Craps - game with real dice; Organic Live with Roulette, Baccarat, Black Jack games; Organic Virtual – sophisticated video platform including Roulette, Black Jack, Baccarat and Horse Race. All of the above games were also connected in a customizable, multi-game environment called Organic Island which allows access to any game in single Organic station environment. April 2011 marks yet another major breakthrough for Interblock, as it has after years of hard work finally received the approval in state of Nevada for its Organic Roulette. The G4 Organic Roulette has become the first ever electro-mechanical roulette approved in the state and the success of Organic Roulette has been phenomenal. The games are performing incredibly on casino floors, and also customers’ feedback was astonishing. In 2012 Interblock’s products are present in most of major casinos on the famous Las Vegas Strip, with more machines being rolled out. Also Interblock’s biggest installations to date went live at Resort World New York’s amazing Aqueduct property. Although Interblock is seeing huge growth in North America, the company remains very active on the European and Asian markets constantly looking for new opportunities and markets.
